The Oxford Chest
This
is an English chest from about 1300, detailed in Daniel Diehl's Medieval
Furniture (MF), pp 51 - 61. Like the Miser's Chest, the Oxford
Chest is really too large and will need to be scaled down. English
rather than French, we draw closer to Saher's period and location, but are still
not quite correct. This chest remains on the short list because it will,
like the Miser's Chest, scale down easily, keep the Master's gear dry,
and already has measured drawings, in this case in MF.
