Horsing Around

The next stage is shaving the blank to a uniform thickness, as the froe tears the blank free of the balk, providing plenty of splinters and gouges in the surface of the blank.  One side needs only be roughed in, but the second side needs to have a smooth surface to scribe the pattern.  The tools I'm using are a drawknife and a shave-horse.
