Plans and Blueprints for Medieval Woodworking Projects

Welcome to Will's Medieval Woodworking. I am your host, Will. Or, on more formal occasions, the Master William McNaughton. As you might have guessed, I am active in a medieval re-creation group. My particular escape route is the Society for Creative Anachronism, and I reside in the Barony of Thor's Mountain in the Kingdom of Meridies.

As a medieval artisan, I have been exploring the various forms of woodcraft as they were practiced in Western Europe, from the late Classical era through the Renaissance. For the past few years, my focus has been 16th-century English joinery, but within you will find notes on Italian, Norse, and German work as well.

Thanks for stopping by.
